Repurposing teams for COVID-19 relief

With an eye towards fashion and sustainability, Rent the Runway repurposed its garment repairs team and local NYC factory partners to produce 80,000+ washable and reusable non-medical face masks for the general public. Now available for purchase on Rent the Runway, each 5-pack sold will give a 5-pack to a community in need. Made from 100% cotton or cotton blend and lined in cotton/poly, the fabric RTR chose has been salvaged from scraps of prior production runs or purchased as unused surplus from textile mills.

As one of the first retail chains to proactively close brick-and-mortar locations to stop the spread of COVID-19, Rent the Runway has also continued to implement a comprehensive garment disinfecting policy for customers.
